To help visualise the room for the game, I decided to build a rough version of it as a miniature model. I started of building the foundation out of thick cardboard so it would be stable. I chose to paint the walls purple as through my research of a girls bedroom from 2006, most bedrooms had vibrant colours and a maximalist design but I reigned it in slightly as ‘the missing girl’ whose bedroom it is, is a more organized mature crime solver. I used white tape for the skirting boards and cut up many lollipop sticks to create a wood floor with staggered planks. For the bed, wardrobe and desk I used cardboard and for the bedding I sewed together fabric and stuffed it with toilet paper to give it a comfy feel. Fabric was used for the rug and I had recently built a miniature greenhouse and so I used parts of that as they were the perfect size for the room and gave it more of a cluttered appearance. To further add to the mystery solving identity I added pieces of paper to the desk and a pin board with red string like a detective.
