While the show initially appears educational, it takes a sinister turn as Amanda breaks the fourth wall, displaying unsettling behaviour and hidden messages. Players uncover a dark backstory through clues and puzzles, revealing the eerie truth behind Amanda's creation. The game blends nostalgia with psychological horror, creating an unnerving atmosphere as the player unravels its mysteries.

Mysterious Entity adds the horror aspect to the game where it slowly manifests and tries to kill you.

Puzzles correlate to the videos, sometimes meaning you have to stop the tape at the right time in order to complete the puzzle. Puzzles include codes, padlocks, children's toys and clocks.

Take away: How it makes curiosity both exciting and dangerous. The player wants to uncover the truth, but doing so makes things worse, which is a great way to build tension. I like how they use something unique, like VHS tapes, to tell the story. I could do so by doing cutscenes instead and I can use the inspiration of the puzzles to create my own. The way the game changes the environment in small, creepy ways as the story progresses is something I’d love to do with the girl’s bedroom. Also, the idea that solving puzzles brings you closer to danger is perfect for keeping the player on edge.
